Teacher's
P.E.T. is a cross-platform interactive computer
program designed to assist teachers in achieving language
outcomes for beginner learners of English as a Second
Language (ESL). The program, set in various subject
areas and consisting of 24 lessons, 80 interactive activities
plus onscreen dictionaries, also may be used to
assist students who require additional support in English
language learning. Teacher's P.E.T. is a project of
the NSW Department of Education and Training, Multicultural
Programs Unit and the Commonwealth Department of Employment,
Education, Training and Youth Affairs through its Literacy
Plus Initiative.
Teacher's
P.E.T was devised, written and created by John Summons,
Head Teacher e-learning at Cleveland Street Intensive
English High School.
